Fuh! Haven’t posted in a while due to my school’s examinations. Now that it’s finally over, I get some time for Gunpla!
Just came back from Litt Tak Warehouse Sale March 2010 and got my bro and I got awesome new Gunpla.
I’ve waited for this one long enough and I finally got it,
Kit Name: MG Strike Rouge ~ Clear Colour Version
Kit Price: -
Kit Status: Released,2009 Expo
Kit Availability: Rare, Limited Edition
I’ve been drooling over this kit for quite some time. It’s a MG Strike Rouge ~ Clear Colour Version. As usual this kit has no price tag as it is an Expo Exclusive release. Fortunately I managed to get mine from the Litt Tak Warehouse Sale for only 3616 Yen! That’s cheaper than the normal Strike Rouge which sells for 4000 Yen. Like all other Expo kits, this one comes with varying prices according to the seller. I was quoted for 4100 Yen once and even I find that reasonable considering this is an Expo Kit. Seems I have luck with getting my Expo Kits very cheap. Can’t wait to build this one, Kit Info will be up soon though. Before I forget, my brother just told me, like Unicorn, the clear parts of this kit is UV light reactive so it looks extremely nice under sunlight.
Kit Name: Sonken Gundam Expo Edition
Kit Price: -
Kit Status: Released, 2009 Expo
Kit Availability: Rare, Expo Edition
Heheheh, my first Expo Edition SD Kit. I’m not too sure but, if I remember correctly this is the Hong Kong Gundam Expo Edition Sonken Gundam. Technically, the only difference between this version and the standard Sonken Gundam is the inclusion of a free Gundam panel lining marker (as you can already see on the top left corner and the description at the bottom of the box) and a few extra illustrations on the back and inside sides on the box. As usual, there is no price tag for this kit as it is an Expo Edition kit. I managed to get mine at 630 Yen. Not too bad I suppose.
Kit Name: MG Hyaku Shiki HD Colour
Kit Price: 4800 Yen
Kit Status: Released, February 2009
Kit Availability: Rare / Uncommon
Perhaps the steal of the day and it does not go to me. This beautifully done MG Hyaku Shiki HD Colour was purchased at 3600 Yen instead of the original 4800 Yen. A whole 1200 Yen discount which is a 25% discount. How often do you get that? I’ve never really been a fan of HD Colour Edition kits because I find them a rip off and a money making scheme but, this particular kit looks nice in HD Colours. The gold is just the right tone. Not too bright and shiny but, not too dull and dark. Though, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea as some may prefer the shinier MG gold.
Kit Name: Sergeant Major Kururu
Kit Price: 600 Yen
Kit Status: Released, 2005
Kit Availability: Unknown
Yup, a Keropla. The third one to join the collection. Well, I may have to eat my words here. This IS the best steal of the sales. Usual price of one of these is 600 Yen but we managed to get it for only 135 Yen. If you’re wondering how much discount that is, the answer is 77.5%. A 77.5%discount! I shall ask this again, how often do you get that?
Well, all in all, I have to admit the whole warehouse sales was pretty disappointing. It had more kids toys than anything though, that would make sense considering it IS a toy warehouse sale. Even when it came to Gunpla, the choices were still rather poor. Ranging mostly from NG 1/100s to unpopular HG 1/144s. The discount was normal but, more could be given considering the rubbish 1/100s they were selling (eg. Providence). Though some were good, with a HG Blue Destiny there selling only for 550 Yen. There was even a PG Evangelion there, excuse me but, yuck! For more details on the warehouse sales check out their site at, http://www.litttak.com.my. Be reminded though, their sales end on the 14th of March and no news on when the next one is coming.
Luckily, my brother and I did our research before hand to know what was sold there so, lucky for us we got what we came for.
I guess it was worth the slight jam and getting lost, damn you Google Maps!
Happy Gunpla-ing!
Is there any Pla Rail / Thomas The Tank Engine series available on the warehouse sale ?
I did see some train plastic kits but, I’m not sure if they were the ones you were looking for. About Thomas the Tank Engine I did see a glimpse of it but, I didn’t really take a too good look.
i bought a shin musha at the warehouse sale for about 50% discount
eheh? when was that? i’ve been to every litt tak warehouse sales this year but, didn’t see any shin musha. didn’t go last year though. anyways, lucky you cause it’s really difficult to find nice kits during their warehouse sales.
